KYK will need registered Parent Support (Register as a CTA Coach Registration) for this event. Please go to the CTA website and register as a support if you are a parent and will be attending the tournament with a competitor. You may be needed to coach in the event all the other KYK Coaches are with other KYK competitors and will have limited floor access.
KYK Staff including MK will be very busy that day helping to run the event and a virtually unavailable. Having Parent Support will greatly help make things go smoother for the students at the tournament.
The KYK Parent Support members will need to meet prior to heading up to UCLA to distribute a cell phone list to each other. Please plan on being there for the last KYK player to finish. Also you will be needed to;
1. Pick up the registration packet and distribute
to the KYK players.
2. Track each players ring assignment and results
for poomse and sparring. (MK has the form)
3. Chaperone KYK Players to ensure that they do not
miss their ring assignments.
4. Keep players clean.
5. Keep players and yourselves calm.
6. Make sure each KYK Player has someone from our
school at near their ring cheering.
7. Hang the KYK Banner and maintain a section for
ALL KYK to sit together in the stands.
8. Make sure all KYK Players get meals and
transportation to and from the venue.
9. In the event of emergencies call MK.
